This section will mainly introduce the legal problems of data compliance and data protection involved in the field of Internet of Vehicles（IOV）. Firstly，it introduces the relevant legal basis of the state，and then aims at some major problems of data protection of IOV. This section details how the existing laws and regulations in China solve these major problems. In terms of legal basis，this section introduces how relevant laws and regulations provide for terminal and network security and data security as well as personal information protection. For example，in terms of data security，data are specifically divided into data closely related to car terminals and traffic conditions and personal data related to users’ private information. In view of these data，data security protection is stipulated in laws，administrative regulations，rules and relevant judicial interpretations，such as Data Security Law，Password Law，Law on Guarding State Secrets，Several Provisions on Automobile Data Security Management（Trial），Regulations on Credit Investigation Industry Management，and so on. The second part focuses on major issues such as data localization and exit restrictions，collection and use of sensitive personal information，data sharing，critical information infrastructure and important data protection，and describes how relevant laws and regulations regulate these issues.
