This study investigated 11991 pairs of children and their parents，and found that parents’ evaluation of children’ Internet addiction was severer than children’ self-evaluation：34.04% of parents evaluated their children as having some Internet addiction，which was about twice as high as children’ self-evaluation. More than 70% of families are dominated by mothers，who play a significant role in reducing the risk of minors’ Internet addiction. However，fathers could also significantly reduce the scores of children’ self-rated Internet addiction. Fathers’ participation in caregiving should be further increased. Compared with income，subjective class has a greater impact on minors’ Internet addiction；and self-esteem plays a partial intermediary role between subjective class and Internet addiction. Good parent-child relationship and parents’ relationship is the key to prevent minors from Internet addiction. One parenting style that helps reduce the risk of Internet addiction is strict parenting with low expectations. However，this does not refer to whether parents have adopted online supervision behaviors，but the overall awareness of supervision in children’s study and life. Parents’ attitudes towards Internet use，their amount of time spent playing mobile games and watching short videos from Monday to Friday also had a significant impact on minors’ Internet addiction. To prevent and intervene minors’ Internet addiction，parents should adjust their parenting style，improve family relations，pay attention to their children’s offline life，and control their own online behaviors.
