This paper systematically analyzes the status of minors’ use of short videos，and divides minors into different types according to the frequency and duration of use. Further analysis found that minors who heavily use short videos have some problems in their family relationships，and they are not very close to their parents. Minors who heavily use short videos are also prone to show some bad tendencies in their personal temperament，and these bad tendencies may cause social problems. On the whole，short videos，as a native online entertainment method for minors，does not have much overseas research to learn from，and should be explored in more research fields.
