Family is the main scene of minors’ internet use. A minor’s internet use habits are highly affected by family members，emotional relationship，interactive behavior and so forth. Based on data collected from the 11th Internet Use by Minors in China Survey（2022），find that two-parent families have stricter disciplines for internet use than single-parent families. Boarding schools have stricter rules than day schools. Good family atmosphere enhances the willingness of minors to inform parents of their problems，therefore reducing the frequency of arguments in families over internet use. Parents need to adopt more effective education methods. Government，schools，communities，as well as media industries should cooperate to provide parents with literacy education，a good family environment，and guide minors to form good habits.
