The year 2021 is the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Under the unified deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council，and with the efforts of government departments at all levels，China’s social insurance industry has made positive progress，with social insurance coverage steadily expanding，the size of social insurance funds continuing to increase，the level of social insurance benefits continuing to improve，and the insurance system becoming more complete. The social insurance system has been improved. This article summarizes the basic development of China’s social insurance in 2021-2022，sorts out the important reform measures of various social insurance systems，and makes an outlook on the future development trend of China’s social insurance system.
