From the perspective of supply，the number of Guangzhou medical insurance participants is increasing year by year，the burden of enterprise and individual payment is constantly reduced，the reform of medical insurance payment based on the points of diseases has reached obvious achievement，and the procurement reform of drug groups has effectively reduced drug transaction costs. From the demand side，the basic medical insurance participation rate and satisfaction of the respondents are high，and the basic medical insurance can significantly reduce the medical burden of residents. At present，the contradiction between supply and demand of medical insurance is mainly reflected in the gap between residents’ expectation on medical insurance payment and the actual payment level，the deviation of residents’ understanding of medical insurance system and the original intention of system design，and residents’ recognition and participation in supplementary medical insurance need to be improved. In this regard，we should optimize the medical insurance system for chronic，serious and rare diseases and reasonably reduce residents’ medical payment burden. The use of individual account of employee medical insurance is gradually transferred to family as a unit；Actively promote the development of commercial health insurance and strive to build a multi-level and interconnected medical security system；We will improve the informatization level of the medical insurance handling system and make it more convenient for medical treatment in different places in the Greater Bay Area.
