Promoting the urbanization of the agricultural population and increasing the income of farmers is an important part of rural revitalization and urban-rural integrated development，as well as the proper meaning of achieving common prosperity. Based on the Guangzhou sample from the household registration population questionnaire of the National Floating Population Health and Family Planning Dynamic Monitoring Survey in 2017，this paper uses the propensity score matching method to study the impact of local urbanization on farmers’ income in Guangzhou. The study found that：On-site urbanization has a significant positive impact on farmers’ income；heterogeneity analysis shows that compared with the old generation of farmers，On-site urbanization has a greater impact on the income of the new generation of farmers；The income of farmers who work at state-owned units is more affected. Therefore，the promotion of on-site urbanization should take scientific planning as the premise，rural revitalization as the goal，institutional reform as the key，and talent construction as the guarantee，and reforms in urban industry and talent policies should be carried out to provide farmers with good local urbanization. policy support and an inclusive economic environment.
