Due to the superposition of aging，empty-nest，disability，and family miniaturization，the traditional family pension model is facing great challenges. Through technology empowerment，the development of smart pension has become an inevitable choice to improve the level of pension services. In order to understand the status quo of citizens’ pensions and their attitudes and suggestions on the development of smart pensions，the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Statistics used the 10000-household survey network covering 200 communities in 41 streets and 11 districts of the city to conduct household surveys to 5000 18-65 residents. The survey results show that citizens have a large demand for old-age care，and the way of old-age care presents a diversified feature of home-based care. Citizens are generally optimistic about the development of the smart old-age care industry，believing that it will help improve the lives of the elderly and that smart old-age care has broad prospects，but their awareness and acceptance still need to be improved.
