Global financial crisis and the UK’s withdrawal from the EU have brought a huge impact on London’s status as an international financial centre and internationalization. Against this backdrop，the city of London has been keen to build the first offshore Renminbi Centre in the west as a means of “Geographical repair” to maintain its global competitiveness. This paper shows the importance of using financial centres as a concrete entry point to understand the formation of financial markets in the broader Internationalization of the renminbi process. The creation of an offshore RMB Center can be understood as a political-economic relationship whose growth depends on and is influenced by economic decisions，but crucially，political decisions in the relationship between the host market（China）and the offshore market. The refinancialization and regional restoration led by this political-economic relationship bring great enlightenment to the development of China’s financial center（CBD）.
