The scale of tourism development，the capacity of reception and the contribution of tourism economy of nine provinces and regions in the Yellow River basin are unbalanced. It shows the characteristics of spatial differentiation in the east-middle-west. The contribution of the total tourism income to the regional gross domestic product of various provinces and regions shows the phenomenon of high in the middle and low in both ends. There are some problems in the development of cultural tourism in the Yellow River basin，such as insufficient tourism resources，unbalanced tourism development in the upper，middle and lower reaches，insufficient cooperation between provinces and regions along the Yellow River and shortage of funds for the protection of cultural heritage. Therefore，this report puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the development of cultural tourism integration，such as establishing cross-regional linkage mechanism，strengthening regional cooperation，protecting and activating the cultural heritage protection in the Silk Road economic belt.
