Storms，blizzards，typhoons and other meteorological disasters threaten the safety of urban rail transit operations and may cause damage to facilities and equipment and casualties to passengers. In this report，the survey of urban rail transit operators show that there are four methods of natural disaster monitoring and early warning，including routine weather forecasts，professional weather forecasting，real-time dynamic monitoring and professional equipment monitoring. However，there are still shortcomings in the advanced monitoring methods，the accuracy of monitoring and early warning information，and the professional services and equipment of meteorological monitoring. The report proposes that the operators should establish and improve monitoring systems，increase monitoring and early warning accuracy，implement safety risk assessments，and improve risk prevention and control measures according to the characteristics and distribution rules of natural disasters.
