Climate change response has become a global consensus. As one of the areas most vulnerable to climate change，national parks are particularly important to formulate relevant climate change adaptation management plans to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change. The response to climate change in China’s national parks is still in its infancy，and the relevant research and experience are insufficient，and it is urgent to learn from foreign experience. This paper systematically outlines the strategies and legal policies for climate change response in US national parks，and focuses on the analysis of climate-smart planning and management of US national parks. On this basis，we propose three paths for China’s national parks to respond to climate change：strengthen multi-party cooperation and promote public participation；strengthen scientific reserves and strategically guide planning；establish adaptation frameworks to improve climate resilience. Provide a reference for the climate change response of China’s national parks.
