The landscape style and features of natural protected areas are the reflection of its landscape characters. There is a lack of research on the heterogeneity and diminishing diversity of landscapes in China’s nature reserves，in order to form a comprehensive evaluation system for the landscape of natural protected areas and guide hierarchical control. The theory and method of Landscape Character Assessment（LCA）are introduced to analyze the connotation，based on the connotation，constituent elements and related theories of the landscape features of natural protected areas，a classification index system of landscape style and features is constructed，and the landscape style and features are divided into three categories：natural basis style and features，cultural enhancement style and features，as well as recreational control style and features. A comprehensive evaluation method for landscape style and features based on classification and rating of landscape style and features as the main steps is proposed. Combining with the results of the quality rating，the corresponding control strategies of the three-level control area of three types of landscape style and features are proposed. Through the differentiated control of various types of landscape areas，the targeted planning and management of natural protected areas is realized，and suggestions are provided for improving the protection management system of natural protected areas.
