Technical support plays a vital role in the successful rescue，and is also an important feature in the emergency rescue of the “1·10” accident at Hushan Gold Mine in Qixia City of Shandong Province. In the emergency rescue of this accident，the rescue command established an expert group based on the rescue needs and difficulties in the command organizational structure，giving it an unique position. The expert group also undertook the technical expert group work of the on-site rescue team and served as the leader of the important technical rescue function group. As the independent decision-making power of technical rescue has been fully maintained，the expert group always maintained a scientific attitude to carry out technical analysis，researched and judged scientifically，repeated demonstration，and formed a specific rescue plan，providing scientific technical support for the final success of rescue.
