In 2021，China’s natural disaster situation was complex. Extreme weather climate events happened frequently，causing heavy casualties and property losses. Under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era，the emergency management system and related disaster-related departments effectively deal with all kinds of major disasters and resolutely undertake the important mission of protecting the safety of people’s lives and property and maintaining social stability. New progress has been made in comprehensive management of natural disasters，dealing with urgent tasks，emergency supplies and communication support，laws and policies on disaster prevention and mitigation.
