In 2021，the catering industry in Jiangsu calmly responded to the outbreak of COVID-19，accelerated the restructuring of the catering industry and made innovation in its business model. The catering industry of the whole province forged ahead with heavy loads，overcoming difficulties with strong determination，firm will and wisdom，demonstrating that catering staff are loyal to the country，serve the people，and showing the social value and industrial value of the catering industry. In 2021，the catering industry in Jiangsu conscientiously implemented the decisions and arrangements of the central government，the provincial CPC committee and the provincial government，adhered to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability，realizing the catering service income of the province back to RMB 300 billion in 2021，and the catering service income above the quota of RMB 99.36 billion，an increase of 21.5%. With the rapid development of rural leisure catering，the rapid recovery of catering in districts and counties，accelerated integration of catering supply chain，the promotion of the standardized，intensified and distinctive process of catering，a good start of the “14^th Five-Year Plan” has been achieved.
