Culture volunteer service for particular groups is an essential component in the development of China’s culture volunteer service system. The article summarizes the findings of a joint study conducted between September and October 2020 by the Guangdong Cultural Center and the School of Information Management at Sun Yat-sen University. It also examines the state of culture volunteer service for special groups in China today and the challenges facing their long-term development. This study highlights the eight practical directions of local culture volunteer service for special groups in terms of professional enhancement，targeted help，diverse supply，etc.
