Since the Reform and Opening Up，China’s tourism volunteer service has made great development. The number of tourism volunteers is growing，the sources are increasingly diversified，the content of daily tourism volunteer service is expanding and deepening，the training，assessment and management of tourism volunteer service is becoming more and more standardized，and the construction of digital platform has also made certain achievements. In the future，tourism volunteer service will see new development in the “quantity” and “quality” of volunteers，volunteer service items，management standardization，digitalization and rural tourism volunteer services.
