This paper mainly introduces the policy environment and development process of smart city and smart hospital in China，and forecasts the future prospect of smart hospital innovation. From the concept of “smart”，the evolution of smart city，the emergence of smart medical treatment and the development of policy environment，the value and future prospects of smart hospital construction in continuously promoting medical service improvement，accelerating the high-quality development of hospitals，enabling the improvement of the overall medical level and so on are summarized. Finally，it is suggested that hospitals at all levels should take measures according to the time and place，select the optimal construction strategy based on their own site conditions，processes and investment，attach importance to information security infrastructure construction，and constantly improve the information security awareness of all staff.
