The major study abroad destinations in Asia，which include Japan，Korea and Singapore has gradually become popular choices among Chinese students in recent years，given the increasing internationalization of their higher education sector，the geographic proximity to China，the similar cultural environment and relatively lower cost. China is now the largest country of origin of international students in these countries，and the most popular fields of study are social sciences and business administration. In general，Japan，Korea and Singapore have a well-developed education system. They are on the move to open up the door for international students to study and work there in order to boost the local economy and to acquire human resources for socio-economic development. This report introduces the recent development and trend of Chinese students studying in Japan，Korea and Singapore. Combined with the current policies，the report also provides an analysis on the prospect and challenges for students studying in these countries.
