Prevention and control of COVID-19 is the main topic for China’s education in 2020. Throughout the year,many education policies have been made to contain the disease,including the postponement of school semesters while keeping learning during class suspension,one-month postponement of the college entrance examination,and adjustment of the postgraduate reexamination and the professional college entrance examination of art. Besides,phenomenon like the booming development of online education and the gloomy picture of studying abroad are all closely related to the prevention and control of COVID-19. Although relevant adjustment and innovation shows the resilience and vitality of China’s education,Chinese people are still anxious when it comes to education. For example,the word “involution” has become a new buzzword in 2020,which indicates the urgency of creating a new ecological environment of education in China. Therefore,this paper comprehensively analyzes the adjustment and innovation of China’s education in the context of epidemic prevention and control. It is concluded that to reverse the administration-oriented tendency and to address the problem of utilitarianism and involution in education in China,we need to firmly promote the reform of education administration and education evaluation,earnestly implement and expand autonomy in school-running,and advance full implementation of education evaluation reform with four focuses as the main content.
