The power of technology is changing day by day，the charm of culture is everlasting，the integration of technology and culture makes the digital cultural industry come into being. In the past year or so，the digital culture industry has been booming and digital collections have been developing like wildfire，injecting new vitality into the digital economy. In this paper，the study compares the relevant contents of digital collections in four dimensions：the background of digital collections generation，the concept of digital collections，the current situation of domestic and international development，and the application value and challenges，in order to form an overall knowledge of digital collections. Taking the WhaleQuest digital collection platform as an example，as a leading digital collection platform in China，it further realizes cultural value，artistic value and economic value through the integration of blockchain technology and Internet innovation technology，and it is believed that with the promotion of blockchain and other technologies，it will help push China’s cultural and creative industry to a new stage.
