Since the first proposal to construct the “City of museums” in 2020，Beijing has actively developed and vigorously promoted this work，which made it be a more mature model to other cities，though it has still been in its infancy. According to the relevant data released by the State Administration of cultural relics and Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics，this paper analyses the situation of Beijing museums during the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan，from the aspects of quantity and level，ownership and classification，number of collections，exhibition and educational activities，and number of visitors. This paper summarizes lessons of Beijing，fromgovernment guidance，technological innovation，exhibition brand and multi-party cooperation，etc. For the problem，this paper puts forward some suggestions，such as overall planning，accelerated reform，strategic cooperation.
