In 2021，Beijing promoted the construction of public cultural service facilities and cultural space in the requirement of high-quality development，and made important progress in policy guidance，improvement of quality and efficiency of facilities，activation and utilization of vacationing space，“City of books”，Winter Olympics cultural square and urban park construction. This report summarizes the status quo of construction of public cultural service facilities and cultural space in Beijing in 2021，and points out that in order to ensure the high-quality development of public cultural services，Beijing needs to continue to make up for the shortcomings of urban and rural public cultural service facilities and ensuring the right of all people to share cultural achievements；expanding the layout of new public cultural spaces and weaving a dense network of public cultural services；inheriting the cultural heritage of the Winter Olympics and highlighting the “Double Olympic City” sports culture；promoting the reformation of management mechanism of public cultural service institutions and improving the quality and efficiency of their services.
