In 2021，the safeguarding and transmission of the intangible cultural heritage in Beijing has developed steadily and in an orderly manner under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control，and actively integrated into modern life. Certain achievements have been made in the listing system，promotion and display，academic research and the path of dissemination. In addition，it has formed a highlight of empowering intangible cultural heritage safeguarding with scientific and technological means，improving the quality of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding with research and training，enhancing the efficiency of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding with major projects，and expanding the capacity of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding with innovative mechanisms，thus establishing a Beijing model of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding. Although the general and persistent problems that plague the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage still exist，with the advancement of a series of measures，such as taking the opportunity of “double reduction” to gradually realize intangible cultural heritage education for all，formulating relevant standards to promote the standardized safeguarding and transmission of the intangible cultural heritage，Strengthening the overall safeguarding to promote the sustainable development of the intangible cultural heritage，and exploring Chinese cultural genes to deeply interpret the value connotation of the intangible cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritage will surely bloom with fresh vitality in the new era and become an effective means to meet the needs of the people for a better life.
