As a special tourism commodity with ideological propaganda function and economic benefits，red tourism and its development are of great practical significance. As one of the origins of China’s modern revolution，Guangzhou has very rich red resources，but the revitalized use of resources is not commensurate with its own richness. It is suggested that the revitalization and utilization of red revolutionary sites（old sites）in Guangzhou should be further planned in terms of depth，breadth，precision，appropriateness and wisdom，so that Guangzhou can realize the transformation from having rich red tourism resources to having strong red tourism resources.
