Liwan District of Guangzhou has a rich historical and cultural heritage，abundant resources and unique neighborhoods with characteristics of Lingnan region. In recent years，Liwan District，combined with the transformation of the old city，actively explore a new way to integrate historical and cultural preservation and heritage into the city’s micro-renovation，and successfully creates the example of upgrading and revitalization of the region of Pan Tang Wuyue historical and cultural block. Following the principle of “repairing the old as the old，building the new as the old”，the overall pattern of the neighborhood and the village texture is preserved. Insisting on the combination of “micro-renovation of old neighborhoods+environmental quality improvement”，the living environment of the thousand-year-old village is promoted and restored. Introducing the cultural and creative businesses such as the intangible cultural heritage art of “three carvings，one color and one embroidery”，green plants and floral art，music space and fitness experience centers，the ancient village is integrated with individual fashion culture，making Pan Tang Wuyue historical and cultural block a new cultural life cluster for young people to visit.
