Children’s Homes in China originated from “child-friendly homes” in Sichuan Province. After more than ten years of construction，Children’s Homes in Sichuan have made great achievements. This paper summarizes five main experiences from the construction of Children’s Homes in Sichuan：First，making overall plans to provide policy guarantees；Second，coordinating resources to ensure the construction funds；Third，innovating on guarantee policies in accordance with actual conditions；Fourth，forming the development model based on local community，school and social organizations；Fifth，innovating the five-sphere integrated development for children’s work model which relies on the project innovation and the child protection. In the future，the work of Children’s Homes in Sichuan will focus on supporting children’s homes in backward areas，improving the professional capabilities of staff，promoting the integration of Children’s Homes with community work，exploring the development models of different types of Children’s Homes，and taking the opportunity of building a child protection system in community to promote the construction of Children’s Homes.
