China has embarked on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way，and the construction of child-friendly cities，as a new requirement，has been clearly deployed in the outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan（2021-2025）. After years of exploration，some Chinese cities have accumulated rich experiences such as national promotion，planning guidance，and community support，which provide an important reference for the pilot construction of child-friendly cities across the nation. To build a child-friendly city with Chinese characteristics，the key task is to achieve the five-dimensional friendships in areas of social policies，public services，rights protection，growth space，and development environment，and make child-friendly cities the general consensus and common action of the whole society.
