Motivated by national policies and stepped-up pace of deployment of all provinces，the construction of convergence media center at county-level of China has maintained steady implementation in 2021. The “news-plus” model becomes a new growth point；the trend of technology empowerment and cross boundary convergence grows；and at the same time，convergence media center at county-level takes an active part in grass-roots social governance to boost rural revitalization. Nonetheless，issues in the construction of convergence media at county-level still remain，such as mixing not converging，difficulties in talents，regional gaps，coordination limitations. Going forward，concerned governmental organs should be stick to the fundamental key of “pursuing progress while ensuring stability”，center on digital governance，innovate employee-using mechanism，cement regional coordination and overall planning，open up diversified business layout，and never cease to promote the the construction of convergence media at county-level to make quality and efficiency improvement.
