The Intelligent Transport System(ITS)in Singapore was reputed for its uniqueness and effectiveness.Due to the restriction of limited territory,Singapore government cannot cope with transport problems via the traditional ways through road construction.Thus,harnessing ITS and information technology to improve the efficiency of transport systems has been taken as a universal tool.ITS has been widely adopted in Singapore's transport systems.This chapter presents the most well known sub-systems of Singapore's ITS:Electronic Road Pricing System,TrafficScan System,Green Link Determining System,Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System and i-transport System. <<
