In 2020，Nanning has actively integrated into the construction of the Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt by accelerating infrastructure construction，deepening opening-up cooperation，speeding up industrial trans-formation and upgrading，coordinating urban-rural integration development，stepping up the promotion of new urbanization and promoting the equalization of public services，further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the cities along the Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt. At present，Nanning is still facing some problems including weak comprehensive economic strength and difficulties in project promotion. Moving forward，Nanning will further promote connectivity at a higher level，strengthen cross-regional and cross-border industrial cooperation for ASEAN，improve the service capacity for open and cooperative development of the Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt through “Nanning Channel”，and strengthen the protection of ecological environment，so as to embrace a new pattern of coordinated development of the cities along the Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt in an all-round，wide-ranging，multi-level and high-level way.
