Based on the policies analysis and data analysis of medical devices industry development in Liaoning Province，we expound the present situation，advantages and existing problems of medical device industry in Liaoning Province. In recent years，the medical device industry in Liaoning Province has developed continually. By the end of 2020，the number of production enterprises and products registration had increased significantly，and the number of various operating enterprises had steadily increased. During the epidemic period，a series of emergency measures were taken to ensure the rapid approval of epidemic prevention materials，and the pilot work of registrant system also made phased progress. Liaoning Province has abundant resources on education and scientific research，inspection and testing，medical and clinical practice scenarios and industrial basis，but there are problems，such as low industry focus，insufficient financing ability，loss of talents and projects，low digitization and so on. Based on current situation，we come up with suggestions as followed：The development of medical device industry in Liaoning province should seize the opportunity of registrant system reform bonus，enhance the supply chains，service chains and innovation chains，build industry chains based on innovation chains，enhance the muti-cooperation between research institute，university and industry. We also set up the expectation of area characteristic development.
