In 2020，affected by the epidemic caused by Covid-19 virus，the demand for Chinese medical devices increased in the international market. A large number of epidemic prevention materials produced in China were exported，and in vitro diagnostic reagent products showed explosive growth. The export results of medical devices are outstanding，and they have made remarkable contributions to the overall performance of China’s foreign trade. Imports were greatly affected by the epidemic，and the growth rate dropped. Due to the epidemic，the world industrial chain and global industrial structure are changing. Governments of various countries attach great importance to it and take measures to encourage and support it，while strengthening the market access management requirements for medical device products. For example，China’s export management measures for five types of key medical and epidemic prevention materials and non-medical use masks effectively regulate the export order of products and support countries in fighting against the epidemic. At the same time，the impact of international situation and geopolitics on the internationalization of medical devices can not be ignored，and it is necessary to pay close attention to the industrial dynamics，take advantage of the trend，seize opportunities，and innovate constantly to achieve sound，sustainable and high-quality development.
