Guangzhou’s financial industry，relatively insufficient compared with those of Shenzhen，Shanghai and Hongkong，has problems such as the need to improve the venture capital，venture capital mechanism and innovative financial industry chain，the need to strengthen the independent innovation capability of colleges and universities，and the need to give full play to the role of carbon emission futures exchanges. It is suggested that Guangzhou should change its concept，take advantage of the “dual district” strategy of Guangzhou-Shenzhen joint development，learn from the experience of Shenzhen and Hefei，strengthen the investment platform of state-owned companies，build a fair and just innovation mechanism for colleges and universities，actively cultivate listed companies，and improve the green financial system in order to construct a world-class financial ecosystem and transform Guangzhou into a vibrant “capital of venture capital and venture capital” and a “green valley” for low-carbon development.
