The implementation of the national strategy to actively respond to population aging is related to the overall situation of the country’s development，and is of great and far-reaching significance to the sustainable and healthy development of China’s economy and society during the “14th Five-Year Plan” and beyond. Strengthening the reform of public pension institutions has gradually become an important basis for timely，scientific and comprehensive responses to population aging. Giving full play to the role of the government and the market is an important way for the development of old-age care. This report takes Vanke as an example，and on the basis of stating the background of social reform of public elderly care institutions，it introduces the development history and current situation of Vanke and the government jointly to promote the reform of the public elderly care institutions - Welfare Center in Futian District and Social Welfare Center Phase II in Nanshan District. After that，this report summarizes Vanke’s innovative practices and excellent experience in participating in the reform of public elderly care institutions.
