Comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and promoting common prosperity is the only way to adapt to the changes in the main contradictions of our society and meet people’s growing needs for a better life. Due to its special locational characteristics，the development of the basin and surrounding mountainous areas is relatively lagging behind. Muchuan County has the typical characteristics of the mountainous area around the basin，and has achieved certain results in the practice of promoting common prosperity through rural revitalization. Taking Muchuan County as an example，through analyzing its experience，this paper takes Muchuan County as an example，summarizes its experience，analyzes the typical practices and basic achievements of Muchuan County in promoting common prosperity，and proposes the development of characteristic modern industries，improvement of the quality and benefits of industrial development，and improvement of infrastructure for the mountainous areas of the basin；narrowing the gap between urban and rural development；strengthening collective economic assets，and establishing a development sharing mechanism.
