Common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism. The key area for promoting common prosperity should fall on the rural areas，and the focus should be on the vast group of farmers. Common prosperity for farmers is a necessary requirement for consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization. It is another blueprint for achieving a moderately prosperous society in all respects. It is another goal to strive from the fundamental interests of the majority of farmers. By interpreting five connotations of common prosperity of farmers，this paper constructs a measurement index system of common prosperity of farmers from two dimensions of “common” and “prosperity”，and proposes measures to promote common prosperity of farmers from improving agricultural productivity，cultivating new collective economy，etc. in the light of the actual situation in Sichuan.
