The research object of this report is provincial single hospital：general hospitals located in provincial capitals，municipalities directly under the Central government and cities separately listed in the plan，which are potentially listed in the top 100，including general hospitals affiliated to medical colleges，excluding traditional Chinese medicine hospitals，specialized hospitals and military hospitals. This report analyzes the comprehensive competitiveness of provincial single hospitals in China from the aspects of economic，geography and competitive factors. The regional distribution of the top 100 shows a significant regional gap：by economic region analysis，the eastern region is the strongest，while the central region is relatively weak. According to the geographical analysis，East China is the strongest among the seven regions，and Central China is relatively weak. According to the analysis of cities，Guangzhou，Beijing and Kunming ranked top three in competitiveness index，and still no hospital in Lhasa has been listed in the top 100 provincial single hospitals.
