Objective Industry is an important driving force for the inheritance and innovation of TCM. By constructing the index system，this study provides a referable report about TCM industry evaluation in various provinces of China. Methods in this study including statistical analysis，data comparison，literature collation and expert consultation，were adopted to systematically analyze and compare the status quo of TCM industry from three industries. The results shows that Guangdong，Yunnan，Zhejiang，Sichuan and Henan are the top five provinces in terms of industrial score. The western region ranked high in TCM agriculture and the eastern provinces ranked high in TCM business. The provinces and cities which put forward the policy of strengthening provinces of TCM ranked higher than those who did not put forward the policy in the average ranking of TCM industry. Finally，the auther jumped to a conclusion：There are differences in the development of the three industries of TCM in various provinces of China. The TCM industry develops unevenly in the eastern，central and western regions. Policy support can promote industrial development.
