Since the “Great Wall，Grand Canal，and Long March National Cultural Park Construction Plan” was promulgated in December 2019，local governments have implemented a variety of policy tools and measures with site-specific characteristics. However，due to the particularity and complexity of the construction of the National Cultural Park，there are still some issues which need more attention. For example，there are unbalanced development and policy support in different regions，particularly between advanced cities/regions and less developed ones. There are inadequate studies from the academia，along with few public attentions. Moreover，the culture park projects are reframed and positioned as more like a tourism development tool rather than cultural development. Local actions plans are absent in most provinces and cities，dampening the integrated progress of this grand project. Therefore，this article claims that to promote the national grand cultural park project，national standard and value system should be clarified，scientific specialized plans should be designed，and national cultural park law should be enacted.
