With the increasing emphasis and support from the party and the country on traditional Chinese medicine（TCM），TCM，as a treasure of Chinese traditional culture for thousands of years，has once again blossomed in the 21st century. This article analyzes the development trends of the TCM science and technology plan（special project）in the past ten years from five aspects：the research and development of the TCM industry special project，the 973 plan，the national science and technology support project，the research key special project of TCM modernization，and the technology-assisted economic plan.
