The purpose of this report is to study the current situation and problems of higher traditional Chinese medicine education. Using the methods of text analysis，questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview，this paper investigates the specialty of traditional Chinese medicine in 24 independent colleges and universities of traditional Chinese medicine in China，understands the specialty setting，curriculum setting and talent training status of traditional Chinese medicine，and makes a full analysis of the current situation from the aspects of specialty connotation construction，curriculum and textbook construction，classics and teacher education Suggestions on the future development of higher traditional Chinese medicine education are put forward from the aspects of practice and construction.
