A balanced and reasonable allocation of medical and health resources is an important foundation for effectively meeting the needs of residents for medical treatment，improving the utilization of medical and health services，and promoting hierarchical diagnosis and treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine is an indispensable part of health care with Chinese characteristics. In order to meet the needs of residents for traditional Chinese medicine services，it is very important to give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and promote the balanced and reasonable allocation of traditional Chinese medicine medical resources. Based on the data from “China Health Statistics Yearbook” and “National Traditional Chinese Medicine Statistics Collection”，this paper analyzes the current situation and balance of the allocation of Chinese medical resources in our country. It is found that the current allocation of health resources in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals is unbalanced，and the resource allocation in the western region needs to be optimized. The fairness of health resources allocated by population is better than allocation by geographic area. The proportion of human resources in traditional Chinese medicine is relatively low，and the differences between provinces are obvious. In response to such problems，it is proposed that the allocation of medical resources of Chinese medicine in our country still needs to be rationalized，and that the input of medical resources in Chinese medicine hospitals should use carrot-and-stick approach to the problem.
