After years of efforts，Beijing has gradually optimized its energy consumption structure. Its energy consumption per 10000 yuan and carbon emission per 10000 yuan are at the leading level in the country. It is the first city in the country to officially announce the peak of carbon emissions. However，the analysis shows that the energy consumption level of residents’ living，transportation，construction and other fields has increased rapidly. In order to take the lead in achieving the goal of carbon neutrality in China，Beijing has significant advantages and faces challenges in high-quality economic development，technological innovation and regional coordination. Therefore，this paper puts forward policy suggestions to strengthen top-level design and systematically implement tasks，build a global new energy demonstration center with the help of science and technology，establish and improve the economic system of green low-carbon and circular development，give full play to the role of market mechanism，build Beijing Green Exchanges at a high level，deepening international cooperation abroad and promoting multi-dimensional cooperation at home.
