This article discussed the methods and measures of the construction concept，faculty，course materials，talent cultivation and demonstration radiation of the surveying & mapping and geoinformation major in architectural universities. Aiming at the problems of imperfect disciplines，lack of prominent advantages in construction industry，insufficient intersecting and application-oriented teachers，inability to highlight the characteristics of the construction industry in student employment，and weak humanistic quality education faced by the surveying & mapping and geoinformation majors in architectural universities，some suggests were put forward，namely，adhereing to the independence of teaching institutions，highlighting the characteristics of the construction industry，strengthening disciplines integration and cross-type teacher cultivation，and emphasizing humanistic quality education.
