In the field of data journalism，intelligent algorithms facilitate data acquisition and big data analysis. Through the combination of computing power and news stories，data has surpassed its original digital nature as an objective attribute，and has been discovered as a multilayered，narrative information language，enhancing the transparency，accuracy and reliability of news report content. In this report，we analyzed the representative works of international-scale data journalism competitions over the past decade andsummarizes how to use artificial intelligence tools in these works. In addition，we explored the demand and application prospect of intelligent algorithms in data journalism by studying the latest industry reports on the artificial intelligence news industry of China and abroad. Moreover，we forecasted the trend of data journalism algorithm practice in terms of news production，business model，and team building.
