Under the premise that data has become a production factor is a social consensus，how should the party-affiliated media explore a new path for the development of data think tanks？Sichuan Daily Multi-media established the “MORE Big Data Studio” in January 2018，and has accumulated rich practical experience in target positioning，team building，and mechanism innovation. Based on the analysis of these experiences，this paper believes that the party-affiliated media should improve the decision-making reference value of think tanks by focusing on target positioning；enhancing the overall strength by integrating resources；effectively stimulating the vitality of each stage through flexible adjustment of the organizational structure，so as to achieve mechanism innovation.
