Video data journalism is an emerging field of news production. It has experienced three stages of development：from the use of data to data analysis，from shallow analysis to in-depth development，and from information services to storytelling. It has gradually formed a linear and progressive Three basic narrative modes of concentric circles. Video data journalism highlights the core characteristics of “story” in the narrative，emphasizes the use of time data to invert the narrative chain，highlights the main points of the narrative through the “zero focus” series data，and uses audiovisual data to symbolize the three-dimensional news narrative. Research believes that the production of video data journalism should avoid the contradiction between visualized narrative and news out of focus，and at the same time enhance the utilization and interactivity of data journalism videos.
