During the 13th Five-Year Plan period，social organizations in Beijing have gained rapid development，not only the scale of social organizations has grown significantly，but also the institutional environment has been optimized. Especially by strengthening the CCP’s construction，and gradually building a modern social organizations management system that fits the capital’s economic and social development needs. In 2020 because of the ongoing influence of the COVID-19，social organizations were facing difficulties and challenges in project operation and funding on the one hand. On the other hand，they were playing an active and important role in participating of epidemic prevention and control，poverty alleviation，waste classification and community governance. It has laid a solid foundation for the development of social organizations in Beijing during the 14th Five-Year Plan period，and will also help to promote social organizations in Beijing into a new stage of high-quality development by further improving the social organization management system.
